Another October update!

Lately I’ve been lame. I work all day, come home so tired at 6 (who knew sitting at a desk could be tiring?), and go to bed at like 10. I’m attempting to be less lame this week. We’ll see.

Yesterday I went in for some lovely pregnancy bloodwork, which was ruined after 1 hour of the 3 hour test due to the fact that we pregnant people don’t handle not eating and being made to drink super-sugary glucose drinks. So since I was in Orem, I figured I ought to take advantage of being near the mall. So I went shopping with katie and got some new clothes. I’ve boycotted maternity clothes- they are hideous. I basically have only bought clothes that are just roomier than usual and yesterday I discovered that the plus-size dept is an awesome place to find blousy shirts that are actually cute.

Next week I’m headed off to CA again for work. Definitely looking forward to a break from my daily routine, even if it really isn’t a vacation or anything. Then I’ll come back just in time for Halloween and my birthday! 🙂

So much to do…

Sometimes I miss the days when I was in school and could just skip class and do whatever I wanted. There’s nothing more refreshing than skipping class, it’s the one thing I miss about school.

I need to finish Laura and Shandi’s birthday presents…

Decorate the baby room… and buy the mattress…

Find someone to watch the baby when I have to go back to work…

Fix the rock chip in the windshield…

Decorate the house…

Get the cats to stop misbehaving…

and much more…

However the most pressing issue is finding a reliable person to watch the baby. I don’t want a stranger to watch him, but I am optionless and don’t have the money to hire a nanny. I hope I can find a nice lady in the ward to babysit who is willing to accept the going rate for babysitting, rather than expecting 10-20 an hour. It doesn’t make me a bad “almost mom” to have to work, and not be able to afford a private nanny.
